Stomping The Grapes by Eric Michaels... Courtesy Google Images
Like many others I too labored under the illusion that wine was made by peasant women stomping grapes in large wooden vats...

In fact I theorized that the unique flavors came from the many different species of foot mung, toe jam and other indigenous bacterial life forms. Well, I was wrong... In my unending effort to discover hidden truths and enlighten mankind, my tireless efforts have finally been rewarded- enjoy your Chardonnay...
Peasant women don't stomp on grapes anymore? I am heart broke! I can no longer have the illusion of the smell of her feet upon my bubbly red? My world is coming to an end. How I dreamed at night of these busty women and their naked legs, Next thing I know you will be telling me that bugs Bunny is not real or Gothem Cities is all made up.
Peasant women never did this. It was all a lie.
Everything we have been taught is a lie.
At least wine, in enough quantities, can still make you drunk, and you can forget about the lies for a while.
This is awesome.
Damn I must be dreaming this. You mean to tell me there is no accordion player either creating the ambiance? I'm stressed and I am out of wine! LOL

Actually in Sicily, the island in South of Italy, where we traditionally make great wine, we said that the wine tastes better thanks to the sun and thanks to the feet that have walked on the grapes!
