Human Evolution #1: Animalistic Human Evolution.

The title may surprise the audience. However, it is the reality.

As humans we have been around earth for about 200.000 years - at least thats what we know, and it has been only 7000 years since we realised how to cultivate land and grow our own food. All those thousands of years, our main focus was on how to get water, food, shelter and have sex so we can reproduce and make a bigger pack to hunt easier. The problem ? It still is. That's what were build for. The leader of a lion's pack would be the strongest lion that would be capable of providing his pack all the necessities, which would make him more desirable for reproduction. And like animals, the leader in a human pack is the man that has more money, which money represents the possession of water, food and shelter, which essentially makes us even more desirable to the opposite sex for reproduction.

Although we have arrived to a position where we can actually grow everything easily, provide shelter and water without difficulty, we are still animals only because we create difficulties just so we can profit and become "leaders", which eventually will make us more desirable. At least thats the belief.

Now back at the days, the food was limited, and if one pack had more food than the other, it meant that the pack with the less food would starve.

Is this even a problem nowadays ? Is there a reason to create difficulties just so we can profit ? And profit what actually ? Since there is no immortality -at least yet, is there actually a reason to possess so much that is not necessary ?

We are still animals being led by the desire of money, a desire that eventually will destroy its own race.

You and me baby ain't nothing but mammals so lets do it like they do it on the discovery channel! I'm assuming that was the response you were hoping for :D

I agree this is ingrained into us, it's always in our subconscious. It may be more for the desire for the feeling of importance, and money is linked inherantly in our capitalist societies. Buuuut, that drive is what has made the human race what it is today. Its what sets us apart. (That and the opposable thumbs :D) without it I doubt we'd be having this conversation online right now. It's a good thing.

Evolution is a good thing, I don't doubt that. What I doubt is the way that we are choosing to evolve, because it is our human nature that we need to evolve from now on and not the animalistic one.

I didn't really meaning evolution, more the cognitave revolution! Nice post by the way
