Taking Care of 'Your Own Kind,' Vs. Kindness Taking Care of You

I wrote this 7 years ago... Wow how time spins (looks like flying) ;-) haha
I have some evolved thoughts on the matter... but this is still my core I believe.
Wanted to share with you.
If this inspires your own thought on this topic, I'd love to read them.

Here it is: "Taking Care of 'Your Own Kind,' Vs. Kindness Taking Care of You." Written November 2010

In response to the mentality: Take care of your own kind:

Health and lives of other people in other countries IS important too... Thing is, so many countries across the globe have that self-serving mentality. Imagine if countries were one person. Imagine those people standing around watching other people starve to death or die of sickness right in front of their eyes... just watching. If I take care of the person to my left or right... and they're taking care of the people next to THEM and so on... everyone would be taken care of.... including me. There wouldn't be such a fear of LACK. Generosity... selflessness... is the key to human survival.

Imagine the countries in the World who have resources... taking care of the countries who don't. EVERYONE pitching in... not just the U.S. or parts of Europe... but the entire globe... working together as a human race. Have you seen small children in a classroom (or, heck... YOUR living room) when a bucket of contents is poured out in front of them? There are those children who GRAB at as most things they possibly can for themselves... there are those children who slowly take something and hand it to the child next to them (who is a quieter child... waiting for everyone else to grab and leave.) The children that grab excess amounts selfishly aren't thinking "I don't want any of them to have anything.." They're feeling "I need to take as much as I can before it's gone and I have nothing." It's a fear. Fear of neglect or not having enough.

Usually the children who aren't getting the acceptance and attention they need are the ones who hoard that way. I think a way to change the mentality of the World... is being an individual who DOESN'T "neglect" those around them... so that others don't feel neglected. (Even if you yourself feel neglected by others... it's best not to repeat that pattern, so try not to neglect yourself so you won't feel empty.) Show your inner circle that you are trustworthy and have no walls of fear around you. People need to realize, that by making sure everyone around you feels OK, you'll be taken care of as well (as long as those being taken care of are also taking care of others, including those taking care of THEM.) If countries would act the same way... the World will know peace.

Why do the majority allow the minority such control? Because of their threats? They control out of the lie "if you don't play this game, you and your family will starve." They have us spending our lives to make sure they get richer... handing over paper debt in order to have food, energy, water... all of the things freely available to the World. We continue because they've trained us to be reliant... like pets. They've crippled our minds into wanting an image... status... it's all a facade. It's not mansions, cars, breast implants or handbags that human-beings truly desire... it's what we're made to believe those things represent... Worth. Stabilization. Stabilization = survival. Also, they've managed to cripple and control the human "spirit" with the fear of eternal damnation. The powers that be make us believe these material possessions show others around us that we are somehow more important... higher up the chain of survival. It's not true. Maybe it's our everyday struggle to attain a "status" higher than the one we have now, that is preventing unity and equality.

If we felt taken care of... became self-sufficient and appreciative of the interactions with the people closest to us, there would be stability. We're more powerful than we give ourselves credit for... if there is unity. Everyone is afraid to revolt because they're afraid what will happen to them or their families if they do... they're still seeing themselves as an individual, not trusting others to follow through with standing with them as well. I believe the momentary repercussions of going against the system are far less harmful than the continuation of that system in the long run.
