Nobody cares.

There is no way to see all the children falling behind, through a screen. There is no way to see all the children being ignored literally to death, through a screen. There is no way to tell people that they are valuable, that they are loved, that they matter, through a screen. There is no way to do any small act that means the world to someone who struggles, through a screen.

The only thing screens do is make us all disconnected. Disconnected from each other, disconnected from those who used to be friends but now aren't, disconnected from teachers, disconnected from our spiritual path, disconnected from our community, disconnected from our ability to help, to reach out a hand.

We stayed home, and shriveled up and died. No lives were saved. We stayed home, lonely and suffering, with nobody to dry tears, or even see them. Goals abandoned as impossible, addictions flared, resentments creeping in, dying a little more inside each day, with no relief from the pain of abandonment and neglect. 20% don't have enough to eat, 50% want to die every single day, their voices have been muted, their cameras turned off, they disappear, they don't exist, they fade away to nothingness.

Nobody cares.
