We need to understand that the West is at war with the Muslims. We bomb their neighborhoods killing thousands and they retaliate with guerrilla attacks. They didn't start this war. We did because we wanted control and resources.
This is the harsh truth. We just happen to over-advertise our casualties and downplay theirs.
Actually it's the muslims who are at war with each other and the west is backing who serves their interests. Trump's speech in Saudi-Arabia makes that very clear.

A country is never at a war with every citizen of another another. This didn't even apply during the World Wars. We also need their cheap labor since we won't do most jobs they are doing.
