This is a lesson that we still experience today. Like Odysseus, we still have the habit of being very fond of ourselves. As we are fed by pride and ego, even if we are not masters of the universe, we will allow us to believe that we are the masters of our domain. We're moving to where angels are afraid to hit. And we are suffering with the fate of Odysseus. We move our hands a lot and when the houses are destroyed, we fall with him. In the ruins of our dreams, we wonder how we believe in ourselves.

This is not the behavior of someone who controls it. It does not reflect the inner mastery we need to successfully deal with change.
