My Recipe for Eggs in Pink Sauce (and Parsley): How To: Weekly contest by @jadams2k18

First of all, a greeting and a strong virtual hug for all my followers in Steemit. Without you I would not reach where I have arrived.

Today I bring you a simple and very rich recipe that can serve as a snack for a party or a meeting or simply because you feel like it.

However (I think I use this word too much), I wanted to make the recipe with quail eggs, but unfortunately I did not get those little eggs. So I had to improvise and use chicken eggs.

Although, in my presentation I had to chop the eggs in half after cooking. If they were quail eggs I could also cut them, but it becomes very annoying because they are very small. So the most advisable thing would be to serve the pink sauce separately in a bowl and place in another container the eggs with toothpicks to make it easier to take them and dip them into the sauce.

Let's do this

Ingredients


  • 2 dozen quail eggs (In my case, since I couldn't buy the quail eggs, I used chicken eggs, you already knew that)

  • For the Pink Sauce
    • 2 tablespoons of mayonnaise

    • ketchup

    • Some branches of parsley

    • mustard (if you like)

Preparation




First, we put the eggs to cook. Generally, once they boil, wait 10 to 15 minutes to get them out of the heat. But if they were quail eggs, only wait 5 minutes before remove them from the fire.






While the eggs are cooking, take some brances of parsley



Chop the parsley leaves into small pieces. Make sure they become very small. Be careful with your fingers!






Place in a bowl, two tablespoons of mayonnaise and slowly add the ketchup, you can also add a some pepper or a splash of mustard.






Mix all the ingredients and add more ketchup until you get a pink color, as in the photo. You can make it darker by adding more ketchup






Add the pieces of parsley, little by little and begin to mix them inside the pink sauce

Those sparkles is what makes this recipe special! I'm joking. For some reason those sparks appeared in the photo give an heavenly aspect to the sauce.








Parsley gives it that pleasant flavor that combines with the bittersweet pink sauce






Once the eggs have been cooked, remove them from the heat and take a container and fill it with water at room temperature or cold, preferably. And place the eggs inside, so that the cooking process stops and it'll make it easier to peel them.




Place the peeled eggs on a plate or bowl









In my case, as I mentioned earlier, I will chop the eggs in half to place the sauce over them and decorate them.

Remember then, if you use quail eggs, use a decorative container to place them next to some toothpicks and use a sauce boat to place the pink sauce. Thus, your guests can eat the eggs without getting their hands dirty








I put the sauce over the eggs as seen in the photo, plus a sprig of parsley to decorate. And that's all.
