HOW TO USE THE GINABOT: HOW TO : WEEKLY CONTEST BY (@cherylsonty)

Hi friends, today i want to tell us about the sweetest girlfriend i have on steemit.

As a newbie the journey hasn't been so easy, we all know that steemit requires a lot of hard work and activeness before you can relax and tell yourself you have arrived.

I would say the platform has been sweet for me by the help of my sweet girlfriend, sometimes i wish it was a human being and not a bot so i would tell her how i so much appreciation her services but nevertheless my utmost appreciation goes to the developer @neander-squirrel, am so grateful for this contribution of yours to this community, it has been helpful to a great number of persons, i can't thank you enough.

I got to know about the ginabot by @vic-essien, am grateful to you too bro, he guided me and i was able to set it up.

But then i still find it strange that alot of persons haven't heard about this super amazing bot, and they keep asking about it and how it is used.

Am enjoying the bot alot and i would want the same for everyone so we could enjoy this platform better.

I will give a proper guide on how to set up account with GINAbot.

• Firstly you would join the Minnow-Power Discord Server Here.

• You would go to the registration channel on the Minnow-Power Discord Server.

Now I can't register again because am registered already but as soon as you go to the registration menu, you would see exactly what is in that image with your username, welcoming you and also informing you on what you need to do in order to be registered.

You will need to send 0.001 SBD from your wallet to GINAbot just to verify that the account is valid, and you would get your SBD back as soon as it's done.

Remember not to space your.. from the reg, it's together.

After you have done that, you would go the registration channel and type .. set no spacing please.

Then you would receive a direct message from GINAbot containing a personal link to set up your notifications.

• After clicking the link, you will see a notification settings web page.

If you register and do not set up your settings then you wouldn't enjoy the benefits, with this you would be able alot of things which includes the following.

You will just be following the guidelines and effecting changes where necessary.

For example, the first column you select your preferred platform, on the second column you would adjust it to your timezone and the third column you choose whether you want to be getting notifications when someone comments on your post or when you comment on others' or both.

For this image,on the first column, you would thick on self if you would want to be notified when you send someone SBD or STEEM and others if you would want to know when other people send you coin.

On the second column, you would thick on incoming delegations if you want to be notified whenever someone delegates steem power to you or outgoing when you are the one delegating or both.

On the third column,you would click on instant if you want to know whenever you get curation rewards and off if you don't want a notification on that.

The fourth column is talking about authors, the options are still the same as in curation rewards.

For this image, first column are for witnesses who wish to know when they receive producers rewards.

Second column you would input names of your friends or people you are following that you would wish to be notified whenever someone mentions their names in a post.

Third column you would choose self if you want to know when you resteem people's post and others when they resteem your post.

This image the second column where you see follow, you would thick on self if you want to be notified when you follow people and others when they follow you.

The third column where you see Votes, you would click on self if you want to know when you upvote or down vote people's post and up and down if you want to know when people do same to you.

For this image, on the first column all you need to input are the names of your favorite authors, it must not be only whales, even friends that you wouldn't want to miss their posts, you could include their names to get an instant notifications, like mine i choose @surpassinggoogle, @steepshot, @dimimp, @ejemai, @curie and some others that I wasn't able to capture on the screenshoot.

For the second column you input people's names that you don't want to hear, or you don't what to get notifications about them even when the mention your favourite authors.

For the first column, if you have any tag you wouldn't want to be getting notifications about, you could input them as blacklists.

Second column you could input words you want to be notified about whenever any anybody uses them on their post, you can use this to get to know about contest, people that write about your niche and other words you love reading about.

The third column, you could input tags you want to be notified about whenever anybody uses them.

This last column is basically for witnesses. After setting up your notifications you can now save.

Note that you can choose to get notified on things you do on people's blog and when people also take action on your own blog or both. So when inputing options you choose self and others.

Then you can also change your sections by typing .. set to GINA AS a private message, a link would be sent to you to enable you change your settings, then afterwards you save and also get notification immediately that your settings has been successfully saved.
