Basic Markdown Styles
Hello, have you ever strolled through some posts and see some awesome work with different markdowns?? Well they aren't hackers of computer guru. Most are average computer literate like you and I.
In this post, I will walk you through how you can also make your posts awesome with some simple character. Hope you find it helpful
Centralizing a picture or write up
With Microsoft office, this is done by holding crtl and E then all the test will be placed at the center. But since this isn't office, it's quite different. All you have to do is this, put your <
write center then close it >put your text then repeat the previous action but put / after the <
< center>your text</ center>
Note there is no space between the characters
For example

Using the characters

Simple and short
Call back or sighting
When you check out a post and you want to comment by calling back a line in the post. What you need to do is this.
Put>and the write up. You will have something like this..

To make a sentence bold
All you have to do is use the hash tag (#) space and put the the right up. Having something like this
Steemit is the best
Writing in Italic
To write in italic, all you have to do is use your dash _ no space your write-up and dash again _
Note: remember not to leave space between the short dash and your write-ups.
When done right, you should get something like this

Referencing a post
This is the most important and common markdown used in the community. Plagiarism is when a person person uses another write up write referring to the original content. Here in steemit, plagiarism is highly unacceptable and one can be flagged due to this offensive act.
To reference a post, all you have to do is use these brackets []and (). Your text goes into [] and the link goes into ()
