Starting an online business from home can be challenging. If you commit yourself to it by being consistent, you can become very successful and live off from it like what some Steemians are doing, earning a full-time income from the Steemit platform.

Here are three ways you can use to generate income online:

Affiliate Marketing – be an affiliate for a product, promote it and earn commissions from selling the product or create your own product and have others promote and sell for you;
Content Creation – create content like articles, eBooks, software, videos and sell;
Service Provider – provide services like blog services, content creator services.

There are so many online opportunities to choose from so choose one thing, make a plan, stick to it and you will become successful in it. Spreading yourself thin among too many options will wear you out, make you spend more and divert your attention which can be concentrated on one thing when starting out. The focus is very important; you are your own worst enemy. Also be careful as there are so many illegitimate sites as well that may scam you. Do your due diligence, research and find out before you buy anything.

And before starting online, it is important that you have traffic.

So Why Traffic?

Website traffic is the people who visit your website. You have to drive traffic to your website if you have a website – not just any traffic but targeted traffic.

Do the things that will get you traffic. For instance, if you have a website about tennis, you will require people who have interest in tennis; you will not provide information about guinea pigs! And if you do not have a website, you still need to have something to drive traffic to. Do not worry about traffic if you do not have a website but you need to focus on what you need to do to generate money online.
