in #howto7 years ago

Hi Steemians! Last year I bought this kit to brew my own beer.

I'd like to share this experience with you step by step with an "How to".
This kit includes everything you need to brew your own beer, here is the content:

  • To start, it is necessary to assemble the drain and place it on the bucket in the hole provided for this purpose.

  • Then past the thermometer at the level of the drain horizontally

IMG_20170506_170826.jpg

  • It is now necessary to clean the utensils and the bucket with the intended product. Fill the bucket with hot water almost boiling and dissolve 20g of Chemipro OXI a non-toxic oxygen-based detergent.

IMG_20170506_171658.jpg

  • Add to the bucket a tablespoon and the bubbler

IMG_20170506_171535.jpg

  • Wait 5 minutes

IMG_20170506_172024.jpg

  • And drain all the bucket. Be careful it's very hot and it is preferable not to breathe the vapors.

IMG_20170506_173440.jpg

  • Let the utensils and the bucket dry and serious things can finally begin ;)

IMG_20170506_173855.jpg

  • I will make a triple blonde beer. Immerse the package in a hot water for 5 minutes. The substance will be liquefied and easier to extract.

  • Add the substance into the bucket then add 1L of hot water at 65C° with one pack of fermentation sugar and mix with your spoon.

IMG_20170506_180021.jpg

IMG_20170506_182310.jpg

  • Add 2L of cold water and let cool to 20C°
  • While the mixture cooled, heat water to 25 ° and dilute the beer yeast into a glass +/- 150ml

IMG_20170506_182319.jpg

  • Add into the mix after 15 minutes

IMG_20170506_174610.jpg

  • Close the bucket with the lid and place the bubbler

IMG_20170506_185346.jpg

  • Add a little water in the bubbler this creates a stopper that prevents entry of dirt. It is necessary to leave the bucket in a place at constant temperature, I chose to place it in my little wine cellar.

  • It must be fermented 14 days it also depends on the temperature. The fermentation is completed when the gas bubbles no longer rise in the bubbler.

In a store, I put a link at the end of the post to their website :)
Thank you @detlev

Thanks, I did not saw it. But as this is just an hour away, I will make a stop whenever I'm close.

jesus man...jesus...you have my respect! I brew a lot of shit myself but beer...too hard, expensive and complicated.
I hope it's good :D

the more complicated is control the temperature. I can tell you if it is good in 10 weeks ;)
Thank you @razvanelulmarin

Will love to have a taste. What about you @razvanelulmarin?

Brewing your own beer sounds like absolute fun. I want to do that too, but I think that when I get to it, I won't even use a kit which means I'll probably make something closer to piss than to beer. Still, sounds like it's all worth the adventure.

You have to start with something ... Kit or not kit. This is the first time that I try to brew beer it is easier to start with a kit to understand the main principles.

I've actually done a lot of reading on the topic and I think I'm ready to give it a shot without a kit with some locally sourced ingredients. But I guess I lack the dedication. Keep us posted on your progress and hopefully your results will get me inspired to actually get off my ass and start brewing.

Ok the result in 10 weeks after the bottling. you have time ... good luck to you.

Thank you for posting @pickoun. Very good to see you posting once again.

Well.....this is an endeavor is it not......worthy endeavor indeed.

It is not much, the technique is simple and this is the first time I try this. I do not expect much but a correct result will suit me amply.
