Home fragrance potpourri

I like home fragrances. There is nothing like coming home to wonderful scents at home, a place where you rest, recharge and live. I am always trying to find natural options to create home fragrances.
One natural home fragrance I have been trying out recently is cut pandanus and lemongrass leaves potpourri, placed inside little organza pouches and hang them in rooms, wardrobes, toilets, etc:
Rose petals, peppermint leaves, lavender and many other fragrant leaves and flowers can also be used in similar fashion. When you hang the pouches, it will dry the petals and leaves while leaving a lovely fragrance around the home.
The fragrance usually last for about a week (depending on wind movement and how big the area is), after which, new leaves or flowers can be added into the pouches. Another method is once the leaves or flowers dry out, add a few drops of your favourite essential oil onto the dried leaves or flowers potpourri to renew the fragrance.
Beautiful and hardy dried flowers such as the Globe amaranth can also be placed into little glasses or containers, added with a few drops of your favourite essential oil:

It's a great idea @marblely. I have in the past made little sachets for dry lavender and then put them in drawers.
Thank you @cryptocariad. Ah cool. How long does the fragrance last? I'm also trying to figure out ways to make the fragrances last longer. But I suppose by cutting new leaves and recycling the dried ones as compost is also pretty ok :)
Personally I feel the fragrance doesn't last that long @marblely... I agree with you on putting things in the compost after a few months...
