How to use bots? Tips and detailed guide about bots...

Hello Steemit!
Steemit is really growing fast and bots are part of this community and we all should learn about how to use bots!

I want to say thanks to my friend @lenancie for asking me this question. And I will try to answer it as much as I can.

Firstly, you should know there are lots of bots and you can track all of them here (thanks to @yabapmatt for this awesome website).

There are two different type of bots:

  1. Bid-based voting bots: They have voting value and min. bid. You should check website that I talked about it earlier so you can track bid-based bots before you use. You should check 3 different values on table on website. First one is "vote value," second one is "total bids" and the last one is "next vote time." You should calculate total bids/vote value rate and check next vote time. If next vote time is less than 10 minutes and total bids/vote value rate is about 0.4-0.5, you should send some SBD to get a good upvote.
  2. Promotion service bots: They are so much better than bid-based voting bots.

Why promotion service bots are better?

  • They give more valuable upvote. Especially @randowhale pays higher than usual. It even gives you upvote about 5x. Minnowbooster is also good and guess what, you can use @minnowbooster few times for 1 post. Which means you can get more upvotes from different accounts. @minnowbooster gives up to 2.9x according to my experiences, but mostly about 2.7x. Bid-based voting bots are giving about 2.4x mostly.
  • You won't have much risk if you use promotion service bots. If you send money to bid-based voting bots, they can give you money less than you spend as well. So it's really risky sometimes.

How can you use bots?

  • You should go to your wallet first. Look at your Steem Dollars. If it's more minimum bid that bot wants, it means you're able to send money to get upvotes. Click on little arrow button next to your Steem Dollars and you should click on transfer. Write bot's name to "To" blank and write your amount of SBD. You should add your post link to memo so bots can upvote it. After you did all of this, you should click on "Submit" button. Bots will give upvote after you send money (It will take some time, so be patient).

Attention: Last time I used @minnowpond it didn't send upvotes to me, I don't suggest you to use it. But you can use after they fix it, I don't know if it's fixed now or not.
