"How To Make Apple Cider Vinegar"

I have been interested in making apple cider vinegar for quite some time. We use this stuff all the time around the house for cooking, cleaning, washing the dog, making baking-soda volcanoes, it even helps get rid of heartburn.
All vinegar is made from alcohol so basically you are turning hard cider into vinegar using an "acetic acid-forming bacteria". It is very cool how the mother is both yeast (to make alcohol) and bacteria (to make vinegar) all at once.
Next I want to look into making red wind vinegar.
