How to: Drive Belt Replacement - Craftsman 10" Band Saw
Hey guys! Welcome to another How To from @greenacrehome!
In this post, I'll take you through the steps for replacing the drive belt on a Craftsman 10" Band Saw.
Step 1
Loosen the blade tension by turning the knob on top counter-clockwise several rotations.

Step 2
Remove the snap ring holding the bottom wheel on the axle shaft.

Step 3
Remove the old belt (or the remnants of it, in my case).

Step 4
Install the new belt over the axle shaft. Here is a link to this replacement belt on ebay

Step 5
Install the wheel back onto the axle and replace the snap ring onto the groove in the shaft.

Step 6
Using a 6mm hex wrench, loosen the two motor mount bolts to move the motor and fit the belt onto the pulley.

Step 7
Fit the belt onto the wheel and the motor pulley.

Step 8
Tighten the motor mount bolts.

Step 9
That's it! You're done replacing the drive belt on the band saw. If you're done with all maintenance, tighten the blade tensioner back as it was.
Hope you enjoyed this How To and it helps you if you ever need to do this!
Until next time,
