How to anonymize Telegram desktop with TOR
A very simple guide how to route your Telegram traffic via TOR and hide your real IP for Telegram Servers and ISP.
Telegram is the best messenger ever made, no doubts about that. Great API to build apps on top, encrypted private messaging, billions of channels and groups, and all the cryptocrowd moved there.
Telegram offers a unique option to anonymize its traffic via TOR usage.
WHAT TO DO???

-click on the list icon on main page

- click on "Settings"

- scroll down to "Advanced Settings"

Choose a connection type "TCP + socks5-proxy"

* - type in "localhost" into Hostname, enter 9150 into "port"
Last step is to SAVE your new settings and log in your account as usual
Now your traffic is anonymous and will be routed via TOR browser
IMPORTANT NOTE!!!!
TOR browser should be running to route your Telegram traffic. You can easily run it in a tray while you are surfing such a great messenger (a platform,actually)!

Make sure to create a new account if you want to anonymise yourself. If you do it with an existing account they already know your IP address so its sorta pointless.
