How to make a fort for kids! Have fun!

in #howto7 years ago (edited)

Has it ever rained outside and you can't do anything fun anymore? Now, that's all going to change. You can build a fort indoors that helps you have fun during rainy days. To build a fort, you can follow my steps that I give, and then you can customize it from there. First, you will need a lot of household items.

Finding materials is not hard if you have couches and beds. Take around 5-10 pillows; any decent size, and then lay out the desired shape of your fort. Then, find large things such as containers, dressers, desks, etc. , and surround the first outline the shape of the fort again with these materials, leaving one spot open for an entrance.

Then take about 2 or 3 good sized blankets (they don't need to be huge), and lay them down. To follow, get the biggest blankets you can find and place then on top of the large building blocks. They should span the entire roof of the fort. If the blankets don't fit, clip them together. Finally, hold the blankets up with the books.

You can hide entrance if you like, but other than that, you're done! You can perfect it to your liking. Now many things can be done from there. Invite your friends over, play video games by putting in a tv and a game system inside. Also, eating snacks and drinks can be great. To finish, I hope this entry settled your rainy day rampage. Most important of all, when you're done, make sure to clean it up!
