Thank God it does autosave though. This post does deserve quite a bit more recognition, not because I am a part of this, but because I didn't think about how commonplace this problem is.

Right! Otherwise I would be completely screwed. Yeah so far @whatsup and @onetree had commented that they had the same experience as me except they didn't know how to retrieve there writing so they just let it go.
Thanks I appreciate the encouragement, it was definitely worth making this post to help others from this happening in the future.
