Turkish Passenger jet skids off runway and stops METRES from sea

The fully-booked passenger plane almost plunged into the Black Sea

It teetered right on the edge of the cliff hanging over the Black Sea as passengers cried out in fear.

The emergency evacuation slides then shot out from the plane’s exits as the travellers rushed off as quickly as possible.

Initial pictures from the crash on Saturday evening showed the plane’s tail end poking up from the cliff at a horrifying 45 degrees.

The airport was shut down as firefighters rushed to the scene and doused the plane in water.

Incredibly all 162 passengers were evacuated from the flight – which had flown from Ankara, Turkey's capital – with no serious injuries.

New pictures this morning show the entire jet lurching on the cliff as investigators started work on finding out the cause.
