Hospital Rock, home to 500 Potwisha Native Americans on the Kaweah River. bedrock mortars, pictographs and family fun
Hospital Rock is alongside the Generals Highway in the Sequoia National Park, and it was once home to estimated 500 Potwisha Native Americans.
I've driven by Hospital Rock a few times in the last couple weeks, but I wanted to stop there for my birthday. The family and I had an amazing time, hiking around Hospital Rock and down to the center fork of the Kaweah River.
If you want a brief history of Hospital Rock.
