Trying out the Castle Plastic Performance Pad
This horse's veterinarian recommended these pads for pedal osteitis. This allows us to eliminate all contact to the sole so that the coffin bone and area is able to be healed.
This is a reasonably common problem. This horse is the daughter and grand-daughter of mares with similar feet. It appears to be genetic in this situation.
I never saw any appreciable improvement with this horse, though it may have helped radiographically.
