Amazingly I was just recently talking about Lovecraft with my wife this morning in the context of the Hulu/Netflix film Wounds. He was a visionary & the most unsettling of any horror-fiction I’ve ever read. Maybe he was part Yog-Sothoth. He had a talent for the horror of the unknown & unknowable.
