What really is third eye?

Counterfeit? Actually, the third eye is a fake copies of gifts from the Holy Spirit the gift of knowledge and gift of discernment. We see these two gifts being used in the Scriptures time and again, and they help the church to be more effective and powerful. But in the case of third eye, there is definitely nothing in it will treat it as a mistake gift from the Holy Spirit. It has nothing to benefit the church.

In 1 Corinthians 12, we see the gift word of knowledge and the gift of discerning of spirits, as part of the list of the gifts of the Holy Spirit.

"But the manifestation of the Spirit is given to each one for the profit of all . . . to another the word of knowledge through the same Spirit . . . To another discerning of spirits . . . But one and the same Spirit works all this things, distributing to each one individually as He wills (1 Corinthians 12:7-8,10-11, NKJV)

The word of knowledge is the gift of Holy Spirit that gives knowledge to the one believer of Jesus about things that's impossible for him to know. This is not a gift of human knowledge or the "smarts" kind of knowledge. The believer may get the word of knowledge through visions, dreams, the inner voice of God, etc. Usually, if the one who has given the rights to the word of knowledge will start to speak, the listener will almost always be amazed on how he was able to release such words, specifically when they are not privy to that information.

The discernment of spirit is also the gift of Holy Spirit that gives the ability that's enable a believer in Jesus to see and sometimes heard the spirit realm. He may can see the Holy Spirit, a human spirit, and evil spirit, Jesus, angels, heaven or even hell. They may see quick picture, a vision, a dream, or even have an interactive open vision where your body is fully involved and you can speak back and forth. If anything is revealed, there will be an enabling to do something with what you have seen.

There is this one story in the Bible in which it clearly demonstrated the same gift, the word of knowledge and the discerning of spirits. It happened in the encounter of Paul and Silas with one demonized girl.

"One day as we were going down to the place of prayer, we met a demon-possessed slave girl. She was a fortune-teller who earned a lot of money for her master's. She followed Paul and the rest of us, shouting, "These men are servants of the Most High God, and they have come to tell you how to be saved." This went for day after day until Paul got so exasperated that he turned and said to the demon within her, "I command you in the name of Jesus Christ to come out of her." And instantly it left her (Acts 16:16-18, NLT)."

Here we noticed that the slave girl seems to have a powers like the third eye because she could see into people. She could also see the future. That is why she could also predict for her master's. She could probably even see spirits.

Noticed though, that the slave girl did not say anything wrong. All she said is true. She was right in saying that Paul was a servant of God. And that is how some people who have the "gift" of third eye may speak. You may say that they are pronouncing things that are correct. But the issue here is not the right to say, but the source of what they say.

When the Apostle Paul, who had the gift of discerning of spirits, confronted the demons inside of her, the evil spirits had to come out! Paul had to rebuke the demonic spirit out even what it said is true. In the same manner, we need to renounce the spirit of third eye in people because it is not from God.

If you will compare the definition of the word of knowledge and discerning of spirits with that of the third eye, it's seems like they do the same. They can look into person's life, sense what is in a person's heart or in a place, and discern the different spirits in the surrounding areas. But the power behind the third eye is not the Holy Spirit.

The problem is the source. It is not from God. It is from the other camp --- Satan's. It is a counterfeit! We need to understand that Satan really does not have originality. When God gave spiritual gifts to those who obeyed Him, and so are Satan gave the fake version of it.

Let us not transmit of what we want to have the power and super-natural powers. There's only two source of this. The God or the devil. Only God's offer is safe, because He offers His gifts freely if we only come to him. The other camp, the occult camp, is dangerous because it always has something to hide. One is the fact that Satan has nothing good to offer.

Another is, in the end, there's a fee that Satan charged for each power that it's given. He will ultimately required your soul, and this leads to your eternal separation from God. But there's no one that Jesus can't save. You sure have gotten involved with the third eye, practiced it, played around with it, or maybe even had friends who encouraged to cultivate your "gift" of third eye.

Do not feel helpless and hopeless. God can reach and rescue you. He can help you, just like He helped Mac. He is in your side even now, and He really want you to be free. All you need to do is to call Him and He always listen. Believing with faith in Him is all we need.
