It is a good day to express your feelings and wants.
And you can have a calculation behind it.
For example, let's suppose you say, "I want to be a manager." to your boss.

Express your want and feelings, like "I like/hate this." or "I want/don't want this."

It gives your boss the impression that you are not able to see the circumstance of the company, or that you only think of yourself.
Throw away your logics and talk about your feelings and want, then your boss might accept your request.

そこにはあなたなりの計算があるのだと思うけど。
例えば、「マネージャーがやりたい」とまっとうそうな理由をつけて上司にかけあうのだけど、その実は、単に使う立場になりたい、とか、給与をあげたい、とか、そういう下心でしかなかったりとか。
例えば、「あなたのことが好きだから結婚したい」などといいつつ、単に相手の収入に目がくらんでるだけだったり。
それは別に悪いことではなく。
上手いことそれで生き延びられるのであれば、いいと思うんだよね。
まあ会社としては、やる気のある人を登用したいのだろうけど、他の社員には評価基準が一定のレベルを超えたら管理職登用、としているのに、「マネージャーがやりたい」の一言で、その評価基準を捻じ曲げてまで管理職登用するのは、他の社員に対しフェアではないと思うのだけど、まあ、そんなの私の知ったこっちゃありませんわな。
まっとうに頑張ってきた人にもチャンスの時なので。
訴え方としては、フィーリングを訴えるのがいいかなと思う。
私はこれが好き・嫌い、やりたい・やりたくないです、とかね。
権利主張や、こうあるべき、的な主張は、「組織の事情を分かってない認定」される恐れがあるので。
言い方は悪いけど、ロジックは捨て、馬鹿になってフィーリングを訴えることで、あなたの訴えが検討されることもあるんじゃないかなと思う。
