To get something may mean you make enemies.
Or when you stand against enemies, you find who your true friend is.
For example, you go to a bank to ask for money for your own small business, and you know the banker is not your friend.
Another example is to make a family means you put less importance on other people.
You may not call such other people as enemies, but in desperate situations like a pandemic, they could be to protect your family.

Tomorrow, you might face an enemy, but not recognize him/her as an enemy.
One example is your boss who pretends that he/she cares for you.
Or your parents or your twitter followers pretend that they care for you as they deny your dream.
Or your enemy could be a rigid system rather than human.

Maybe the enemy is better than the one who tries to attack you.
He/She/It at least wants peace with you.
But the peace could make you misunderstand that he/she/it is your friend.
And it could cover up a serious problem.

I don't say you need to attack the enemy and make it clear who the winner is.
But maybe it's better to keep him/her/it at a distance if you can.

何かしら大切なものを獲得するというのはつまり、それと同時に敵を作ってしまう、ということなのかもしれない。
もしくは、敵に囲まれることで、自分の大切なものを認識するということなのかもしれない。
例えば、家族がいる、家族を作るということは、それ以外のものの重要度を下げるということであるし。
それ以外のものを、敵とまでは呼ばないかもしれないけどね。
例えば、あなたが苦境に陥って周囲の人たちがあなたから離れていく時に、あなたの傍を離れない友人こそが、真の友人であるし。

明日、あなたが直面するかもしれない敵は、敵の仮面をかぶってはいないのかもしれない。
例えば、あなたを気遣っている素振りを見せる上司、とか。
例えば、「あなたのため」といいつつつあなたの夢を否定してくる毒親、ツイッター民とか。
ひょっとしたら敵というのは、人に限らず、硬直したシステムかもしれない。

あからさまに殴り合うしかない敵よりは、見た目だけでも平和を維持しようする敵のほうがマシなのかもしれないけど。
ただそれは、平和に安心して、「誰が敵であるか」という本質を見誤ってしまうことになりかねないかなと思う。
一度本質を見誤ると、そこから誤った方向にあなたの経験と見聞が積み上げられてしまう。

平和を維持しようとしてる敵に殴りかかる必要はないけど。
敵っぽい人とは心の距離を置いて付き合ったほうがいいかなと思う。
