A Yellow Object??????

in #hongkong5 years ago

I couldn't resisit not posting this and sharing the shameless Hong Kong Police Force with everyone. What makes me boil as I watch this video is not only how the police continue to lie through their teeth and twist the truth, but that the police officer is also a Brit, a Welsh to be precise by the looks of the name, but I won't hold that against any Welsh here.

What happened over the weekend in Hong Kong, is the continued protests, details and reasons which I won't go into as I'm sure you will have followed it on your local news and internet if you're interested. If you're not, then I just want to draw your attention about continued police brutatlity. On Sunday, a protester was arrested by riot police and led into a back alley. He was wearing a yellow top.

Around 30 or 40 riot police surrounded him so no one else such as other protesters or the press could get near him. Someone took a video from above the building which showed the guy being kicked by the police. When the woman shouted "stop, don't hit him" the police shone their torches upwards to obscure her view.

During the police press conference today, Acting Senior Superintendent (Operations) Vasco Williams said that there were videos showing an officer kicking a yellow object, and they don't know what that yellow object is . I watched through the entire video, boiling with rage, restisting very hard not to throw my computer against the wall. Williams then try to get himself out of the shit hole he dug himself into, claiming the video was out of focus and he couldn't make out if it was a person, an object or a bag. As an Acting Senior Superintendent surely your guys on the ground would have told you by now that this is a person, a live human being and not an object!

Humour yourself for six minutes to see what a disgrace one of the supposedly best police force has become.

As the Senior Superintendent stated, the video does not show any clear evidence of officers kicking a suspect. The video is not focused. Just because the video maker shouted prejudiced opinions does not make it evidence against the Hong Kong police, who behaved professionally throughout the entire 13 weeks of rioting by malcontents. The rioters achieved their desired goal of having the extradition proposal withdrawn; they ought to return to their homes, offices, and schools, rather than burn Hong Kong to the ground.
