Honesty, an integral connect for eternal bonding.

Ever been hurt, betrayed, disppointed, enraged, enbittered and dismayed bcause of a sudden discovery of something that should have been talked about openly.A secret that was concealed for so many years and have shook your very existence upon its unearthing. Dishonesty hurts because it undermines the relationship, breaks trust and is the opposite of intimacy. Dishonesty is a breeding ground for hate, doubts and distrust which vould be detrimental to one 's relationship.

Relationship in this sense,need not be intimate .A betrayal by a friend, colleague or a family member could be hurtful and devastating.

There is no gainsaying that being honest is not always easy, especially when one feels terribly ashamed to say the truth but there are reasons why we must make conscious efforts to be honest at all times.

1. Honesty solidifies and strengthens the foundation of relationships in all respects, whether it be with a family member, friend or romantic interest. Honesty is a voice for love that builds trust. Without it, there is no basis for such love, mutual or platonic, to grow and find a long lasting bearing.
   

2. Where a person is notorious for telling lies and is filled with deception, people tend to guess the truth and take whatever is being said with a pinch of salt. This could be a breeding ground for hate, gossip and more lies.There is definitely no way a healthy relationship can be groomed therein.
   

3. Shockingly, hiding the truth from a person is more hurtful when such truth is later discovered than telling the truth honestly and at the right time, which is immediately such a thing occurs. Delay is dangerous. If you do not speak up, someone else will and it could be fatal to that relationship. People tend to postpone the evil day to a farther date, better put, till further notice.
   The more you postpone such truth, the more hurt the affected party feels when such truth is uncovered.Be open were necessary.
   

4. Honesty enhances the relationship and saves us from having to live a life of deceit. Lies scarcely come on their own: one will usually be needed to cover another until it spirals out of control. This becomes complicated for the one who started it and confusing for the one receiving it. More than that, living a lie is hard work. It means not being yourself or enjoying relationships, and that is not comfortable for anyone. On the other hand, while being honest about difficult situations may be uncomfortable at first, if it can be worked through, the relationship is strengthened, trust is built and love is deepened.

Conclusively, i would love to draw a distinction between personal branding and honesty.

Personal branding showcases the perfect you, the unscathed, pure and unique you. What you want the world to see and know about you. All ypu potray to the world as you is what is gleaned as your personality. It is also refered to as "packaging". I wonder with all sincerity, is anyone actually perfect? Is anyone without fears,worries,anguish, sorrow or yearnings for a better life? Of course not! I am not saying the world should know ALL about you but you will agree with me that there are some persons who deserve to know more than what the public or the world knows.

Honesty is about the scars. it's about the blemishes. But it's more than just bragging about failure, which could be a form of ego. It's about truly helping people.Being true to yourself and to others.

Be honest always, it sure pays off ....on the long run .
