Somewhere Over The Rainbow #HomesteadingChallenge
Hello Fellow Steemians,
We are participating in our first Steem Challenge! @kiaraantonoviche has come up with a really fun Homesteading Photography Challenge, and this week (#8) is to find the colors of the rainbow on your Homestead. It sounded too fun not to participate in, so here it goes;
Red- Our very red chicken cottage we built in the fall...
Blue- A reminder that Spring will soon be here...
Green- The beauty of fresh eggs...
Yellow- Our Honey Bees 🐝hard at work...
Orange- Our collection of dried orange peels to make homemade orange essential oil...
Purple- Oregano Flowers from our Fall Harvest...

these. are. GORGEOUS! i've never seen oregano flowers quite like that before. and that chicken cottage ... i'm jealous. i want to be there!
Thank you so much! I never knew oregano had such beautiful flowers until it sort of got away from me this summer and these beauties popped up. The bees loved them so much I just left them. My husband's handwork on the chicken coop....that window is bigger than any window on our house! We really love it. Thank you so much for your kind words!
i had some lettuce that i let go to seed (yup, totally got away from me) and it had the prettiest little yellow flowers, that turned into little puffballs, kind of like dandelions. i was able to save a good amount of those seeds, so i'm double interested to see if i can get any to sprout!
