RE: PRACTICAL DECOR - ATTRACTIVE FOOD STORAGE ON THE HOMESTEAD

in #homesteading6 years ago (edited)

Hey Papa-Pepper! As always, it's fun to run into your blog this evening.

You and your family seem to be doing an incredible job homesteading. It's amazing work you're doing.

While i can't speak to the peppers and garlic other than it is really beautiful but that it's all in relation to the sweet colors of the plaid with lace so delicate.

I can speak about the jars of canning. Just wanted to share that my Grandma's kepts their jars in their root cellars. Which has a cooler stable environment that is dark unless you're accessing an item. They both kept potatoes, onions and sometimes apples along with the canned fruit & vegs. It seems there will be a lot of light on those jars and the temperature may fluctuate greatly which will destabilize preserved goods rapidly which is not good. Be careful!! Hugs n Love 💜💙💚

Sort:

The jars on the shelf are just dried items, and nothing that is canned or pickled. Dried peppers, dried herbs, etc. We are still finishing the root cellar build, but it should take care of the preserved stuff once it is up and running.

Thanks for the comment and the tips!
