Some of my Essential Books
It's windy, rainy, and gross today - which means I am snuggled inside, leafing through some of my favourite, most essential books!
The Western Gardening Book is a must have for folks in the Western U.S. - from Sunset magazine, constantly revised & updated. The first book I bought after moving to Washington State!
These Visual Encyclopedias are amazing! Garden Plants (by Andrew Mikolajski & John Swithinbank) plus Garden Techniques (by Jonathan Edwards). Thousands of combined entries and photographs to get you off to a strong start. A wide range of info, and not too deep into the specifics of any one thing.
More coming soon - have you read any of these, dear friends? What are some of your favourites?
Hi! My absolute favorite gardening books are:
Gaia's Garden: Guide to Homescale Permaculture by Toby Hemenway
and
Teaming with Microbes: The Organic Gardener's Guide to the Soil Food Web
Both books have totally shaped the way I prep soil and garden!
:)
i will add them to my goodreads list - thank you!
