We've got chickens!!!

Life happens, right?! We have decided to sit tight and wait to travel because we can't sell our property for enough to make it worth giving up completely paid-off land. So we're getting or homestead farm started again from square 1!
Here is our first video for our new adventure... Picking up Chicks!!

Awww! They are so adorable! I was LOLing when the chick did it's business on her and she was all upset. 😂 Well congratulations on adding some feathered friends back to your family. I look forward to seeing their growth and progress!

Oh! The people in the parking lot were probably looking at you funny because there have been a lot of reports of people videoing kids at public places like Walmart and Dollar General (at least around our area) and they are pretty sure it is child traffickers. That may be the reason. People are keeping a close eye out for these folks.

We were parked way out by the road. One guy circled around us staring us down. I tried not to stare back lol. We have issues with traffickers here but most are at playgrounds or stores like ikea.
We are loving these chicks. They are so curious and keep flying out of the bin we have them in. They come walking down the hall and it's so funny. I can't wait to see how big they get. They are about the size of our last chicks were at 6 wks and these are only about 4 wks.

The traffickers have been amping up their game for some reason. Maybe due to charities like Operation Underground Railroad that rescues trafficked children all over the world. That is one worthy charity. They squeeze a nickel to death to make it stretch to save those porr babie's lives.

Congrats!!! I've never seen the Jersey Giant breed available in my area. I think they are a rare breed of meat bird but the industry doesn't use them because they grow slower then other breeds. The girls are excited!!!!

Our girls are obsessed with these chicks. I have to keep getting them out of the bin lol. They got them all named and pretty much planning out their futures haha. Good little mommas.
