ANCHOVIES OMELET (TORTANG DILIS)

In the Philippines, anchovies are a key ingredients for making patis or also known as a fish sauce.Anchovies are also enjoyed raw or pickled vinegar or also known as (ginamos,"cebu term)as well as fried (tortang dilis),cooked in numerous different ways on the region.This small fish that Filipino called dilis has a scientific name (Stolephorus Commersonii)and are usually caught in large groups that is called school of fish.

Good day steemians!,Today, I want to share my very simple yet delicious TORTANG DILIS as my viand for my dinner.

Tortang dilis is a simple fish omelet dish.This fish omelet dish is easy to make just like the other omelet dishes that you are familiar,but instead of veggies or ham I used anchovies.
Just check this simple ways how to prepare this omelet dish:

Ingredients:

1/2 kilo of dilis
1/4 kilo of flour/cornstarch
2 pcs.eggs
pinch of salt,onion,and ground black pepper.
oil.

Procedure:

1.Wash the long jawed anchovies or dilis,and drain it in the separate plate.
2.Mix all the ingredients well and add the salt to taste.(except the oil).
3.Put the dilis into the mix ingredients.
4.Heat the frying pan and pour the oil.Then fry the mixed anchovy.Let it turn into light brown.Just like this image below.

Tortang anchovies is very simple but tasty dish.It is common Filipino dish that is easy to prepare.This really goes will with hot chili sauce as dip.
