So that is a terrific philosophy. Having the ability to look far outside of a tool's useable ability is one of the strongest survival skills you can never teach. At some point, there has to be a willingness to become a creative self-motivater. Many also become 'married' to ideas that are romantic like paracord etc. Definitely has its uses and is of great value. Having said that, a 100 feet of 1800 pound mule tape will quadruple to pull a 3.4 ton truck out of a ditch ;)
