Curation for Earth-Centered Content @the-hearth | Week 3
Happy Sunday! and welcome to Week 3 of Curation @the-hearth!
Take a seat, grab a cup of tea and warm yourself by the hearth while we give you the lowdown on some of the best earth-centered posts on Steemit over the past week!
If you're new to our mission, we curate high quality original posts with lots of photos and text from Steemian's lived experience, practical know how and inspiring ideas or experiences. For your post to be considered it needs to be longish in length, have many pictures (always cite if they aren't original), and be empowering or educating in some way.
Without further ado, let’s begin!
@indigoocean blesses us with her inspiration of her encounter with being told she had an aggressive form of cancer in What Would You Gift This World if You Were Dying?.
Here @the-hearth, we focus on earth-centered content AND inspiring writings with a bunch of heart. In this post, she asks the big questions about how we would live and what we would do if we thought we were dying. This is a great question for all of us to ask and then act on the answers! We hope you finish her post as inspired as we were.
@skycae's post, The Mundane, Medicinal and Magical Primrose, touches on the magical aspects of plants that humans have known about for some time.
To many, plants are simply a backdrop to human life, but when we form relationships with them, they start to talk a whole other language! take a peek into the practical and mystical uses of Common Primrose in her beautiful and charming post.
Next up we have an absolutely beautiful piece by @sashagenji, A Dreamer perspective: The world in Flowers & collaboration in action.
There are some writings and photos that reach out of the computer screen and into our hearts. The alchemy of what Sasha has done here reaches like this and works magic. At the core of her message is that the earth is beautiful and this beauty restores us, gives us hope and is a balm to the pain of destruction wreaked all over the earth. Together we are stronger. Read her message to learn about more steemians collaborating in an effort to raise earth awareness.
@llfarms’ How To Make Your Own Herbal Deodorant is up next!
What I loved about this post is that it isn't a bunch of essential oils- @llfarms takes us deeper into using plant medicine and making a much-needed product for many of us in a very natural way. It's hard to come by recipes that are this natural, so take note, folks!
Next up we have @gogreenbuddy’s Edible Ground Covers.
Grass lawns need to phase out. Why not grow edible ground covers in their place? In this detailed article, he shares many species great for the home or garden for covering the ground.
@ligayagardener gifts us with the next post, Edible Weeds: Soursobs (Oxalis pes-capre).
He tells us about a plant that is an easy to grow, even considered weedy, perennial root crop within edible flowers, leaves and root! I’ve seen this plant many times on my walks and think it’s a welcome addition to any landscaping.
good project follow now good initiative
