Jacob the Sheep is growing up!

Good morning all!!

I thought you guys would like to hear how Jacob the Sheep is doing!

Check out his fancy, new halter. Makes him easy to grab!

As you can see from the photo, he is growing! His horns are longer, his fleece is fleecier, and, unfortunately, he is growing a big boy ATTITUDE.

As a ram, this is a given, but still, it's not nice when your precious bottle-baby decides to challenge your authority. We are dealing with it though. Much like a rebellious child, he is receiving consequences for his actions, plenty of training, and his behavior is getting under control. He is still generally a sweetheart, just a sweetheart that you should not turn your back on, much like any male farm animal.

Is he going to be a father soon?! It's too soon to tell, but it is POSSIBLE that Lamby is a month pregnant! I hope so!

Also, in case you guys were wondering, the infamous pallet fence is holding up quite well. I was expecting to have to make some initial repairs to undetected weaker areas, but so far, nope!

We are in the process of making pen number two, so we can rotate the sheep between the pens, and it should be completed this weekend. We have about 10ft of fence to finish, and a shelter and gate to build. Which is great, because the grass in their original pen is looking a little short!

Thanks for stopping by to check in on the sheep! ♥ Have a great day!!

FYI, a baby goatlet was born a couple days ago! ♥ I'll have to post about her after a photo shoot, when the rain finally quits!

Such a handsome boy! If he gets too uppity, I saw a video in which someone had cut a pool noodle to fit over their ram's horns--he had to wear them until he could be a good boy.

Thanks!
Haha, well, with rams, the danger is more in the force that they use to charge and ram someone, so I dont think pool noodles would help with him... The goats now, that might be an option. I dont generally have issues with them though. They are pretty well behaved. :D
Im actually planning on buying a mask for him, once he's full grown. It blocks his forward vision, but not his side vision, so it makes it much more difficult to charge someone, but wont hamper his ability to eat and mate and whatnot.
