RE: Food storage thoughts for prepping for disasters; large and small, in an orderly fashion.
Well, THAT is debatable, kind of a soft definition of Human; don't you think? I didn't know that you were storing food at all, LOL!
:)>
yeah that IS debatable because we are starting to store food for Jack now. lol.
Hey Dogs are good people; I have food stored for mine too, ROFLOL! But I also plan to feed them that which I prefer not eat from what I cook. They like that kind of stuff anyway.

sir smithlabs! oh interesting. What kind of food do you have stored for the dogs, or rather the bosses.
They like a 21% protein dry food from Atwoods. Hard to find a dog food they all agree on, that seems to be the best bet, but they prefer people food.
:)>
do you put that in sealed buckets or something so it will last longer?
Yes, 5 gallons buckets with plastic bag inside for a double seal.It also protects against rodents

sir smithlabs! Five gallon buckets with mylar bags would be better wouldn't they? And you put in the moisture absorbent packets?
Yes, but I rotate stock, so long term storage is not needed. In SHTF, I will hunt small game, and net fish, for us, and my fur babies.
