Real quick update for DIY Garret Juice. Battery powered aeration pump for a better compost tea.

I wrote a post about a week ago about DIY Garret Juice, and wanted to post an update.

We are completely off-grid and running a air compressor means running a generator. I have been wanting to do a little research on aeration pumps that don't use much electricity.

Writing the post on Garret Juice lit a fire under me to find a cheap efficient aeration pump, and I found one.

It's called Bubble box from Marine Metal Products. It runs for about 20 hours on two D cell batteries and it comes with a hose and an aeration stone. The price is only $8.00!

That's it. Short and sweet. Hope this helps (especially you off-grid homesteaders and gardeners).
