Nilat-an baboy (Boiled pork soup) with gabi vegetable.

Happy Sunday steemians and good morning...
I have another recipe today, #Nilat-an baboy, a local term, in Visayan and Mindanao Region. This a common Filipino dish. Known also a #nilagang baboy or in English name #Boiled pork soup with vegetables. This menu is very simple to prepare and easy to cook. The usual spices of this menu is very common vegetables, such as cabbage, squash, pechay, garlic, spring onion, ginger, onion and siling mahaba. In my own recipe I will used #gabi (taro) instead of squash. Because this will make the soup sticky and more delicious.

:And here are the main ingredients listed below with the pictures.

:1/2 kilo of fresh pork 🍖 meat (good for 4 or 5 person servings)

:The spices are the following. (raw)
-Gabi(taro)
-Cabbage
Spring onion
-Ginger
-Onion
-Garlic
-Siling mahaba (pepper)

:The seasonings are the following:
-Salt
-Vitsen/msg

:Water

How to prepare the food. (process)

  1. Peel the skin of the gabi, onion, garlic, ginger, and spring onion.

  2. cut or sliced all the spices according to desired cutting. And wash with clean water.

  3. Clean/wash the pork meat with clean water 5 times or more. Until the the meat is surely cleaned.

How to cook (steps by steps process)

First get the cooking pan, put first the salt approximately 1 teaspoon, also add msg/vetsin. Then add the garlic, ginger and the pork meat, then cover the pan. Then put into the stove and fire. Set the flame into medium range then allow to boil for 5 minutes, after add 1 liter of water add also the gabi. Allow to boil in hour until the meat is perfectly tendered. After that add spring onion, onion, pepper and cabbage. Then allow to boil for few minutes, then try to taste the soup, if the taste is good. Then remove from the stove. And ready to serve.
Serving suggestion, must be serve in hot.
