A most interesting and informative post.
My hens are still laying just - but only 2 or 3 a day now (out of 12 hens). But we are not big egg eaters so that is fine.
I find sometimes giving the nesting boxes an extra clean and making them extra cosy keeps them laying a bit longer at this time of year. Might just be coincidence though!
Hi there pennsif, glad you find the Gazette informative. Since the girls have been boring lately, I've tried to add useful info as I come across it trying to figure these darn chickens out. I need to get additional hay, it's gotten cooler here the last few dats.🐓
