Step By Step Betta Spawning

IndonesiaHere are the steps of spawning betta fish:
Fill the spawning area with clean water as high as 10-15 cm. As a note use ground water or clear river water. Firstly apply the water to be used for at least one night. Avoid using water in packs or water that smells chlorine PAM.
Add to the container the aquatic plants, as a place for shelter. But the placement of water plants should not be too dense. Because the water plants potentially take the dissolved oxygen present in the water.
Enter the betta fish that is ready to mate. Let the fish for a day in the container. Betta fish will make air bubbles. Point to save the fertilized egg. To lure the male to make bubbles, enter the betta fish but separated. The trick, the female fish is inserted in a clear plastic cup (former glass of akua) and immerse into the aquarium where the male fish are located.
After the males make the bubbles, enter the female breeders. Spawning time usually occurs around 7-10 am or 4-6 pm. Betta fish are quite sensitive when mated, preferably cover the container with newspaper or place it in a room that is avoided from people back and forth and noise.
After conception pick up soon the female breeder, because the one responsible for raising and keeping burayak is a male hickey. With his mouth the male will pick up the fertilized egg and place it on the bubbles. If the female breed is not removed, the fertilized eggs will be eaten by the female.
After about a day the eggs will become buried. During the next 3 days burayak do not need to be fed because there are still nutrients carried in eggs. Bullfish will also fast during keeping the burayak.
After three days from the time the eggs hatch, give the water fleas (moina or daphnia). Feeding should not be more than burayak because the feed will contaminate the water and cause death in burayak.
Male breeders have only been taken after 2 weeks of age from the time of hatching. Move the burayak on a larger container and give a larger water flea or mosquito larvae.
After 1.5 months, fish can be sorted by gender. Then separate the fish into the enlarging container.
