So what can be done about homesteading lifestyle turning into the loneliness?

  1. Start recording your experience into podcast and then upload it on websites like dailymotion or youtube etc.
  2. Connect with other homesteaders around the world on forums and meetups. Share your experience. Keep in touch with them through online means.
  3. Get a sewing machine and start quilting and other sewing stuff. This will keep you creative.
  4. Raise animals into your backyard or farm. You can even start chickens, goat, fish and other animals which can be sold. They can give you company and keep you busy.
  5. Talk to atleast one new straner outside your family circle by travelling to another place or town.
  6. Get ham radio and start connecting with other users at night.
  7. Gather with other homesteaders once a month for bartering and other discussions like security etc.

These are some of the things you can do to avoid feeling lonely. Keeping yourself busy and engaged in routine is one part. And connecting with other consciously can get you out of this mindset.
