in #homesteading5 years ago

Let's discuss how to take care of rabbit. So winter is coming and we are going to notice that farm animals need special care. Though if you are keeping the animals in shed, there is less to worry about. However you need to think about ventilation and also the cold. So here I am discussing some of the things that you can think of when it comes to taking care of rabits.

Let's discuss How to take care of Rabbit during the winter.

  1. Make sure you get a rabbit cage and not keep them in boxes with upper top caged. Get a proper cage for rabbits and make sure it is easy to shift into the shed especially during winter.
  2. Make sure you can easily put some insulation hutch for the winter if the cold is a bit strong.
  3. Also do note that not to stuff too many rabbits in one cage. Make sure you have proper proportion for rabbit to cage space ratio in mind.
  4. If you are keeping the rabbits in shed, you can make sure to use the farmhouse heater or the bulb that can insure the heat in the shed. Don't keep the heater near cage though.
  5. Make sure to change the water and food every now and then during winter and also clean up the rabbit dropping too.

These are some of the things that I can think of when it comes to taking care of rabbits during the winter or say in cold days.
