Guyabano My Feature from our Farm (Cancer Killing)

in #homesteading6 years ago (edited)

It is great to grow your own food. What is especially great is when the food tastes great and is super good for you. Yesterday I noticed that our Guyabano Tree is beginning to bear fruit. We planted these trees a couple of years ago and now the time and work will pay off.

The photo above is of the fruit when it is ripe. I usually like to only use my own photos, but this is the first year and I am excited about seeing some fruit beginning on this tree. When I planted fruit trees, I always planted minimal 4. The other three are lagging behind. Time will tell!

This is what we noticed on our tree.

Our tree is already about 16 feet tall. When we planted it, it was about 3 feet tall.

I was reading on www.guyabano.com about the health benefits of this amazing fruit. Also the leaves have incredible medicinal purpose. So the following is not my knowledge, but what I learned from the website. Imagine a fruit so important that it qualifies for its own website totally dedicated to the Guyabano.

The Natural Cancer Cell Killer”

Fights Cancer Cells, may help lowering blood pressure,
may help improving immune system & more!

The Guyabano tree, its fruit, leaves, stem, bark may be a natural cancer cell killer.
A scientific research published in the Journal of Natural Products in 1996, stated that the bioactivity-directed fractionation of the seed resulted in the isolation of a new compound (cis-annonacin) that is selectively cytotoxic to colon adenocarcinoma cells (HT-29) in which it was far more potent than Adriamycin.
Protect your immune system and avoid deadly infections. Feel stronger and healthier throughout the course of the treatment. Boost your energy and improve your outlook on life.
The source of this information is just as stunning.
Extracts from the tree were shown to: Effectively target and kill malignant cells in 12 types of cancer, including colon, breast, prostate, lung and pancreatic cancer.
What’s more, unlike chemotherapy, laboratory tests shows that the compound extracted from the Guyabano tree selectively hunts down and kills only cancer cells. It does not harm healthy cells! Various parts of the tree–including the bark, leaves, roots, fruit and fruit-seeds–have been used for centuries by medicine men and native Indians in South America to treat heart disease, asthma, liver problems and arthritis.
The results showed that Guyabano’s “leaves and stems were found effective in attacking and destroying malignant cells.
In many independent laboratory tests has proven that Guyabano may be a potent cancer killer.
The most significant part of the report is that Guyabano (Annona Muricata) was shown to selectively target the cancer cells, leaving healthy cells untouched. Unlike chemotherapy, which indiscriminately targets all actively reproducing cells (such as stomach and hair cells), causing the often devastating side effects of nausea and hair loss in cancer patients.
A study at Purdue University found that the leaves from the Guyabano tree killed cancer cells among six human cell lines and were especially effective against prostate, pancreatic and lung cancers.

So many treatments out there that the treatments have huge side effects. This one has no negative effect on the human body. I opt for the natural way. I don’t even take a pill for a headache.

Besides the Guyabano we have many banana trees with fruit. We just harvested on the other day that I estimate has 130 bananas from the one tree.

We recently harvested the best tasting pineapple I have ever experienced, and it came out of our farm. We are dedicating a larger area for pineapple.

We have many guava trees with abundant fruit and what they call the miracle fruit tree. Perhaps I will do a feature on this one soon.

Thank you for your time.

Awesome post. My dear friend mhm-philippines

Thank you my friend

Nice! Good lesson but I will add one more for the GUYABANO; only the leaves of GUYABANO can be used in Anti Cancer by boiling its leaves according to the study of some Doctors, but its fruit has many benefits. (^_^)

Thank you my friend!

Hello @mhm-philippines, the guyabano is delicious and discovering that it has powerful properties makes it even more tasty. Eating fruits of the earth makes us healthier people, the future of mother earth is clean agriculture, free of chemicals. Congratulations and blessings

My goal is to eat mostly fruits and vegetables and consume them as close to their original state as possible. Growing our own food, we can keep away chemicals and fertilizers and aim for a food that is better.
Thanks for your comments! Blessings!

You reap what you sow. Literally. Congratulations! I feel the happiness. I grow vegetables and fruit-bearing trees in my garden too, and it leaves a warm glow eating what you have toiled.
