Counted 63 mature banana trees

Update on one of our crops that will be consumed by us and distributed to the poor. Just a walk through the yard this morning and I counted 63 mature banana trees. Some of these will produce over 100 individual bananas per harvest.
We just harvested some last week. We planted many of these trees late last year. We planted 4 or 5 varieties.
Just a walk through the yard without any repeats. Here are the trees currently bearing fruit.

Bananas are boiled, fried or my favorite way, roasted over an open fire on a stick. This is the best way if feeding children.

Now, this is our kind of post! Everyone at The Banana Collective is super-excited to hear how many banana trees you have, and how many hungry kids will be munching on a sweet treat very soon!

100 bananas per tree of the kind you cook. 1 to 2 bananaque on a stick per banana. 100-200 treats.

That's great! And sounds yummy, too! :-)

They are little too yummy! My want to banana binge!

Just for being one of our favoritest banana-people, we sponsored you for another share of Steem Basic Income... should show up within a few days.

You are just amazing! Thank you so much!
God bless! Sending a big bear hug!

Not too hard of a bear hug ~ we're pretty soft and squishy. :-)

hi Mhm-philippines ! I like banana very much ! the nice post!

Thank you for your comments! They are delicious and very good for your health.

Wow. That's a lot of trees and a lot of bananas. How wide a distribution are you likely to get when you give them away? And it sounds like they might ripen at different times due to the difference in banana plant? Or is there just one ongoing harvest?

So, I've heard bananas don't have seeds, so you use a branch or a part of the existing tree to plant? Or are there actually seeds and that's a myth? I've always wondered but obviously never decided to look it up. Now, I'm asking an expert!

Those bananas on sticks all look awfully tasty. They almost look like chicken. :)

The banana on a stick is fantastic. They roll it in brown sugar and caramelize the sugar onto the banana and this is done over an open fire giving a super light Smokey taste. Banana trees are rhizomes so when a tree bears fruit you cut it down. Next to the old tree, a few new shoots are coming up nearby. The tree that is cut down is very watery and like celery. This we give to the neighbor who feeds it to his pigs, in this climate the bananas are giving fruit all year and they do ripen at different times. There are enough poor in our immediate area to consume what we produce. Also many of the pastors and their families are very poor. We try to care as much as possible for them.
Believe it or not a banana is considered a berry.
