We just found a bee tree near the house and some bee friends are going to help me harvest any spring swarms this year. We get enough of our sugar from our cane but my neighbor has bees. Its just not a hobby I have the time to get into. But i enjoy reading your posts!
Thanks for the kind words. So glad to hear you are just harvesting swarms and not cutting the tree down. I have seen too many times where people cut down a bee tree that has survived for years and the bees die the first winter in a bee hive. With a bee tree you can collect swarms year after year. Make your life easier and build some framed swarm traps.
