Reading and Nap Time

Saturday is our family day, we started reading a Tom Swift series until it's nap time. I haven't even read 2 chapters yet and @iamstan is already sound asleep. @futurefarmers are all still awake trying to skip nap time but we needed some power nap so I turned the lights off and we had a great nap.

Checking Outside

It's time to get eggs. I brought frozen cantaloupe rinds as treats. Then went in the coop only to collect 5 eggs...

This lady is owning the most favored spot. We have crazy chickens. There are 4 nesting boxes to choose from and they all want to lay eggs in this spot.

This hen is an Australorp, and they seem to be the sweetest ladies we have. I can move her out of the box and she won't peck at me but

They seem to be growing ok, there are some that looked dead but they still have some green left so I'll wait on that.

Surprisingly, one of the transplants are flowering! And one of the transplants have mushroom growing underneath it. Not sure if that's edible mushroom. Care to tell me what it is?
