PINKIE-PEPPER MAKES FRIENDS WITH DAISY

Finally, our goat gets friendly!

If you saw the recent post from @papa-pepper then you know that after a lot of work, he finally began to make friends with our doe goat. However, whenever anyone else came over, the goat would leave. Not anymore!

Today, Pinkie-Pepper was able to feed Daisy from her hand. This is a big step forward for us. Though it is not necessary to "make friends" with a goat in order to milk it, we would prefer if Daisy trusted and even liked us, especially since the older @little-peppers want to milk her one day too.

Daisy is the milk goat that was made possible for our homestead because of donations from @exploretraveler and @smailer. We hope to breed her, have her bless us with a few kids, and then use her as a source for milk too. The @little-peppers have milked goats before and love the idea of milking their own. It certainly will add a huge level of appreciation over just buying some at the store, especially when they do the work to provide it themselves.

This was another big step forward for us, and we wanted to give you all the opportunity to rejoice and celebrate with us! Here are some more fun photos we just took!

As the old saying goes"Pinkey has got them eating out of her hands".
Well done, it is surprising what a little loving and time can do.
As part of the handling try to get her used to handling/playing with her udder to be, so it will be less of a shock when you start milking her

Great advice!

As soon as daisy is happy enough, let Pinky into the paddock with her. Brush/ comb daisies hair/ coat, and get her used to being handled by you and the kids. Strangely Mama pepper may be better with daisy than you, it's a girly thing, worth a try though.

i agree my dear friend .................

This post gets the #healthy-home seal of approval!!

Nice work there Pepper Family!!

What a wonderful future you are working towards!

How great! Nice to see everyone getting along!

And on another note- that's a sweet logo for the @little-peppers - great job @rigaronib

The goats are given a lot after our cattle in our country.
Most of the villages have their own farms. Many goats in the town also make goat farms.
Because the goats are easy to obey than the cow, and to meet our everyday needs, alternatives are needed. And the goats are very quiet animals. And people can be freely lively..
thnx for sharing a beautiful post ......
