This is one of the corn plantations in the city of Balikpapan, precisely this plantation is located in Karang Joang Sub-district, North Balikpapan District, East Kalimantan Province, Indonesia. I do not know exactly how extensive this corn plantation is because I just happened to cross the area and saw this plantation. When I was taking photos of this corn plantation, I didn't see anyone guarding this plantation, so there was nothing I could ask about the extent of it.

Corn is a food crop originating from the American continent that has spread to Asia, including Indonesia. Corn is one of the carbohydrate-producing foods that are needed by our body, therefore it is very good for consuming it.

Corn is also one of the staple foods for residents in the Americas, especially South America and Central America. There are several dry regions in Indonesia which also make corn as a staple food as a substitute for rice. Apart from being a staple food for humans, corn is also a basic ingredient in making Maizena flour and animal feed.

Good writing. It is possible corn will be is short supply soon. Several countries had bad crops last year and inventories are low.
