Am so passionate about bead making. This post and future posts will be showing different bead designs. Bead making is really interesting. One can venture into bead making for their own use or for commercial use. That is, to make money from it.
Today's post is basically about introduction to bead making and its instruments.

  • Wire Cutter:
Basically, a wire cutter is used for cutting as the name implies. In bead making, you can use it to cut headpins, eye pins, threads, jewelry stringing wires, fishing lines etc, to protect the hand and avoid sustaining injury.

  • Lobster Claspes and Bead Tips:
Lobster claspes are most used for bracelets and necklaces. Its easy to open and close with one hand. It can easily be used by just pulling back on the small lever and the spring will compress, leaving an opening so you can slide a jump ring or tab inside. Releasing the lever causes the clasp to close automatically, firmly locking the chain in place.
There are other types of claspes, but the clapse to use depends on the jewelry you want to make.
Bead tip is used for finishing bead strings.

  • Fishing line
They are in different sizes. The fishing line used depends on the jewelry you want to make, that is the thickness of your fishing line depends on the thickness of your bead. Fishing can be used for both bracelets and necklaces. Beading generally involves stringing beads onto a line and this line could be a fishing line, fishing thread or fishing wire.

Hi @Kandies! When you get more of your instructions posted, please submit them to the sotall.org directory. The Sotall community is dedicated to building a directory of Steemit posts from all aspects of farming, homestead, survival and self sufficiency.

I would love to set up a craft section too. Knowing how to make things gives you something you can sell or trade for needed goods, today and in whatever the future has in store for us.

Plus, I am a bead-a-holic myself. I have been working toward starting an Esty store, but Steemit is taking most of my time, lol.

I just submitted my post there. Nice community goals.
Thanks for the concern. Am a bead- a- holic too.

Thank you for contributing your knowledge to help others! The Sotall Community has linked to your post here.. If you write any future articles with instructions on how to do any tasks related to a homestead or survival, to ensure they are added to the directory, please submit them. They will be added as soon as possible.
