Only ever seen children scale up trees in Mozambique to collect coconuts, how clever to train monkeys to do the trick.
Seeing as your 'lawn' has been developed into a garden you may as well plant vegetables and herbs under them, unless you have a monkey problem where they come and raid.
Old tread sewing machine my Mom had one that whizzed away under her skillful hands making clothing for as long as I could remember, yes things were made to last!

Actually I just started making some raised bed around the back for veg because the soil is little more than sand as it's an island and Mum in law can't bend down so well! We also have chickens roaming too...they will eat anything so ground level is limited to trees shrubs and bushes!
